Caricature Carvings

 

Early in the new year (2010) I got really interested in caricature carving. I researched the internet and located the OUTWEST WOODCARVING website by Lynn Doughty. He has an absolutely amazing series of blogs spanning several years complete with videos, instructions, and photos on cowboy caricature carving. Lynn is undoubtably one of, if not the best in the business. So I have borrowed his style for my early pieces here but on my way to developing my own as the year progresses. Enjoy!

 



Caricature of a present day Nova Scotia Conservation Officer. Heck I was one of them for 22 years! We were called Game Wardens back then. I dedicate this to all the guys and gals who walk that thin green line.
